Step One: Schedule a tour

The first step in your application process is to contact our parent tour guide registrar, Katie Whitman, at chancellorstreetinfo@gmail.com or (434) 296-6444. She will provide you with information about our program, and you can ask questions and schedule a tour (virtual tour options are available for relocating families). We strongly recommend you complete as much of this process as possible before submitting your application form. Your application will not be processed until you have spoken with a registrar.

Step Two: Submit an application

Click here to submit your application form for the 2025-2026 school year electronically. If you prefer to submit a paper application, you may request one from the tour guide registrar. You will receive email confirmation when your application has been received. Please note that applications do not carry over from year to year. If your child is not currently enrolled, you must submit an application.

A $25 application fee will be due upon receipt of your application. You will be electronically billed at the email address provided within 3 business days. You may also bring a check for $25 made payable to C-Street Cooperative Preschool to your tour, or you may mail a check to C-Street Cooperative Preschool attn: Registrar, PO Box 1705, Charlottesville VA 22902. Your application will not be processed until this fee has been paid. Please contact a registrar if payment of this fee is prohibitive for your family. Scholarship applications are available.

Timeline

Applications are accepted beginning on October 1st for the following school year.

Beginning in January, applications are processed and we begin filling student spots for the coming year. Current C-Street families are given priority and then applications are considered.

If you are offered and accept a space, you prepay May tuition along with a $45 non-refundable registration fee to hold your child’s spot for the coming year of school

Scholarships

Our budget provides six scholarship days, which usually is divided among several children.  Full and partial scholarships are available. Please click this link for the application.

Scholarship information is kept confidential and families awarded scholarships are expected to participate in school activities and meet family obligations in full, except for tuition.
